I made the chicken thing here again today only because I didn't have chicken breasts, I used pork loin.

Pork is chicken a lot of the time at my house because I don't eat a whole lot of chicken. Pork, purchased a loin at a time, is fairly low-fat, reasonably priced (I wait for sales), and not nearly as slimy-feeling as raw chicken. (I realize that normal people might not understand the slimy thing.) In my world, the other white meat, which I am well aware is a source of sewage fatalites and pigshit lagoon floods of ecological disasterhood, substitutes nicely for goat, lamb, and chicken. I don't eat goat and lamb and I don't like cutting up chicken. (I'll eat chicken just fine. It's just the cutting-it-up-raw that I'm not a fan of.)

So, how did the pork-as-chicken thing go? It worked out very nicely indeed and instead of chicken-n-yogurt, I have pork-n-yogurt. Yum! This is a really good recipe and not terribly difficult assuming you have a fairly complete spice rack. Give it a whirl, ya'll. You can even use chicken if you can stomach cutting up ther slimy jaundiced factory-farm flesh.

I'd tell you about how good the grated cauliflower thing that I had earlier this week was, but I'd only be doing so to digress into how the migrant farm workers shit in the fields and contaminate huge shipments of veggies and cause folks in the 'burbs to come down with E. coli based food-poisoning because, along with Nature's Best Freshtastic Veggies, the denizens of the 'burbs are eating the shit of migrant workers.

Um... was that last bit, you know, *personally* relevant to the cauliflower grating? Inquiring minds want to know :)

Not personally, no. As a general rule, I have a cast-iron stomach and very little incidence of digestive upset. That was a more general assessment of the state of our produce. Thing is, I am currently in the grip of some kind of Swiftian cruft-thrall or perhaps I'm feeling subliminal echos of Sinclair muckraking whenever I think about the food chain. I'm not really sure where the cause lies, but I'm pretty solidly into a filth-based, self-replicating tubes of meat view of humanity at the moment. This, too, shall pass.

Cruft-thrall is quite possibly the most beautiful compound word I've ever heard.

I am fond of pork, but being German heritage, I would be.
