From their 2011 annual financial report (available online), we can see that the total revenue for 2011 for the school district amounted to $18,367,620.00 Also, from page 24, Revenue from local sources, section 6910 "Rentals", we can see that the bus hut likely gained them a whopping $120.00 in revenue.
Since I know that my eyes glaze over when the numbers get that big, let's put in in more human-scaled terms. The shed rental represents .00065% of the district's annual revenue. My own personal annual revenue from 2011 (as reported on my personal income tax return for that year) was $37,888. Therefore, .00065% of my annual adjusted gross income comes to $0.25. That's the amount the school district is fighting about, here.
