Good news! I have finally located my copy of Handel's Messiah. (It's the Westenburg one, with Blegen, Cienski, Aler, and Cheek -- I note this now so that if I lose it again later, I will be able to buy the right one to replace it. Other recordings of the same piece would not work as well, you see. They would not be the right one and would, therefore, be unsatisfactory.) It's been missing since I last tidied up the stack of CDs on the end table, about six months ago. Apparently I put it into an unlabled case for no reason and then stuffed it at the bottom of the stack. I am not sure what I was thinking, there, but I have found it again and just in time for the holiday season. Yay!
