Oct. 26th, 2006 09:51 pmI got back from the lake conference, where I won a CD (raffle) of frog & toad sounds.
The CD of frog sounds illuminated the weird, soggy, swallowing-like organic sound heard in the night at the lodge some years ago. That'd be a wood frog, folks. If that's the only helpful thing that the damn CD ever does for me, it's worth the five-dollar raffle ticket price. (You got 25 tickets for the five bucks. It wasn't like they were expensive.)
I also stopped at the Wegman's on my way home and picked up some expensive oatmeal. (Had that for dinner. It was tasty.) I also got some moong dal (Yay! I've been out for almost a year and I really *like* them.) and some sesame oil for stir-fry.
I finished the baby hat and tried it on the baby today (it was on the way) and it fits the baby. Action shots of the baby in the hat will be posted tomorrow and I can just feel the excitement of all ya'll out there in readerland. Be patient.
