Oct. 23rd, 2006 08:32 pmI'm tired today... not sure if it was the busy day at work (nothing exciting -- scraping six layers of wallpaper and paint off of plaster prior to painting same) or the potatoes and beef dinner (with gravy) but I'm whipped.
Well, I'd make more of an effort to be amusing but nobody seems to notice when I make the effort and today I'm in a very why bother frame of mind. Mostly I'm okay with the lack of feedback on my utterly delightful and amusing prose because it amuses me even if it bores the utter pants off of the rest of you, but today I'm just too tired to give a shit. I have brand new TV-on-DVD and I'm too tired to watch it. I'm at an interesting point in the baby hat and I'm not really gung-ho about knitting on that because I'm falling asleep on the couch before 8 PM. I have a whole big stack of music from the employee, lots of stuff I don't already have, and I need to rip those to the hard drive. I have the boat magazine for this quarter and I haven't read that yet. I have the opera study guide and CD -- I did listen to the CD today while tooling around town for work purposes -- but I haven't even cracked the spine on the study guide. I have a bag of gladiolus bulbs that I was going to plant after work today but it was like thirty-eight degrees out in addition to the tired thing. I need to buy new flannel sheets because mine are bald and it's getting to be flannel sheet season... but, yo, tired.
On the plus side, I do not have my hands above my head and I am not looking up while bits of plaster drift down to lodge in my eyeballs. The house is reasonably warm (70 and rising) and I've had dinner.
