which_chickHappily, Elf Porn book #3 was delivered today. (Also arrived was my replacement DVD of Dangerous Liaisons, which has been missing long enough that I gave up on it and bought another one. If anyone's seen The Price of Milk or Bandits (in german, with subtitles), you might deliver them home again. I will be watching DL later this evening as I launder my garb for the morrow because I really like Malkovich in period clothing and being a bastard.) As you might reasonably expect, I plowed through the four hundred pages of elf porn with about as little difficulty as the harem of elf hotties plows the fair Meredith. Partly, yeah, I read fast (I got home at around 4:30, book was done at around 7), but the Elf Porn books are not the sort of prose that I have to work for. It's round heeled, compliant prose.
To my delight, in the third book of the Elf Porn Saga, I found another continuity error for my collection. The continuity errors, thus far are minimal -- the sort of thing that she could catch with a good bible to work from... that or a good editor. Also, the Elf Porn author has a couple of annoying authorial quirks that I can now look for and enumerate in a ticky-box sort of way while reading. Perversely, this adds to my enjoyment of the Elf Porn books. Finally, quite in line with my expectations, the Elf Porn characters are playing a campaign that might well have sprung (Think Sir Mix-A-Lot!) directly from a KotDT mocking. (For the non-RPG literate, the books suffer from what would be, in college, grade-inflation. They continually raise the bar. I find this hysterical.) In summary, the Elf Porn books are really more fun than I should be able to buy for three bucks per, plus shipping.
