(no subject)

Howdy from the hospital, which has standing up only internet access. Typing while standing is rather more difficult than it appears, particularly with a fucking IV needle in my left hand (it's not attached to anything but they don't have an order to remove the needle so there it stays) which restricts my range of motion and screws up my typing.

So. How am I? I'm not dead yet. Surgery went reasonably well though I'm reasonably certain I'm unable to answer nurse and doctor questions to their satisfaction. First question I was unable to answer: So, how is your pain? (I don't know. I'm not in agony or anything. It's unpleasant but not more than I'd expect for a six inch hole in my belly.) Second question I was unable to answer: Every time we cut you, you bled. Is that normal for you? (Gee, I dunno. I've not made a habit of cutting parts out of my insides.)

I'm still here and will probably still be here through at least Sunday. The food is somewhat better than expected and the morphine pump was a lot of fun. They took it away yesterday, though. I've been watching a lot of food network television. Gingerbread championships. Who knew?
