Bizarre. First DVD of Six Feet Under was covered in some kind of weird film cruft on the shiny side. It wouldn't play. It wouldn't recognise. It wouldn't do shit in the laptop or a PS/2. So, I washed it gently with warm water, a very small amount of Dawn dishwashing liquid, and my fingers. I patted it dry with a soft dishcloth. Now, it works.

First sock upgraded to with-elastic. Looks good. Second sock needs to be started here directly. Dead people make good knitting television.
