Crochet and the Lorenz equations. This is of note in my world because of the crochet project and also because of the recent discussion of bad-chaos-math in Jurassic Park over at gwangi's place. See, this is crochet and *better* chaos math by actual mathematic people. Plus graphing. I like graphing, even if it's 3-D and done with a string and a hook.

There's a pattern in the journal Mathematical Intelligencer, should anyone be interested.

That is insanely awesome. Now all I need to do is convince my aunt (who is a crochet queen) to make me a meter-tall mathematical abstraction.
