I really like the strange and wonderful things that come off of Japanese television. Hard Gay was hysterical. Now, we have people investigating how much stray cats can lift... by putting out heavier and heavier dead fish for them to take away. They videotaped the cats trying to take the fish away, and this is funnier than it really should be. There's also amusing color commentary -- even if you don't speak Japanese, you can still tell that it's Sporting Event Color Commentary done by two guys. The delivery totally overcomes the language barrier.

Also, I think that feeding stray cats must be a popular pastime in Japan. It plays a central role in Murakami's Kafka By The Shore, and is mentioned in such a way as to make it seem unremarkable.
