The photography thing was again tonight. Unfortunately, it was dark and cold and blowing snow by the time I considered going. No. Not that interested, thanks. Instead, I stayed home and had two foods starting with A for dinner.

Look. It was a slow news day. Avocado and apple, in case you're wondering. (This is the post-holiday My God I'm Fat season. I'll get over it come springtime, you betcha.)

I also looked up directions for my Friday night excursion involving ethnic takeout. (NYR, there might well be a kipper in it for you IFF you email me back before then. I'm pretty sure 'satiable curtiousity likes kippers almost as much as it likes the helpful advice of Bi-Coloured-Python-Rock-Snakes. Sample advice: My young friend, if you do not now, immediately and instantly, pull as hard as ever you can, it is my opinion that your acquaintance in the large-pattern leather ulster (and by this he meant the Crocodile) will jerk you into yonder limpid stream before you can say Jack Robinson. It is probably just me, but in my own mental narration, the voice of the Bi-Coloured-Python-Rock-Snake is invariably provided by Marlon Brando as Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls. Bi-Coloured-Python-Rock-Snakes are just that cool.)

Having made some progress on the HoHI, revised ribbing plan, I decided that the 1x1 corrugated ribbing of the socks was just not doing it for me. I need to rip them back and cast on again (grumble, grumble) so that it will be *right*. A 2x2 ribbing will go better with the colorwork on the fscking socks. Bugger all. I also need to get myself a new, improved chart. I think I can do this by editing the *old* chart in Paint, that graphics tool of champeens.

In other news, Chiyo-chan is darling. Actually the whole thing (Azumanga Daioh, for the non-cognescenti in the studio audience) is very cute. Good call on that one, [livejournal.com profile] sector_r! I've also gone shopping for assorted things I've been meaning to read, among them Death Note. It turns out that Amazon.com's web site is marginally less annoying via broadband. It's still too... busy. I'm glad I'm not prone to seizures from overstimulation in the visual cortex.
