Teen wolf: shitty consent

Teen Wolf s2x03: Derek, mackin’ your bad self (you’re sexy and you know it) on a recently-seizure’d-girl in the hospital so that she’ll let you bite her is a wonderful example of shitty, coercive consent. (Yes, yes, it’s just a bite. It’s not really about sex. This is werewolves, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from vampires, where the whole biting thing maps directly onto sex. This is not like that. Not at all. And I suppose you have a bridge I’d like to buy, too?)
