which_chickI actually saw it advertised in an instagram post and damn it was just ... clever. It spoke to me. I got it in "athletic gray" because for me anything on white is a total disaster. I am basically Pig Pen if Pig Pen were a 54 year old lady instead of a comic strip character. (I do bathe. I wear clean clothes, or at least they're clean when I put them on. I just don't... stay very clean in the course of the day. I have always been immediately messy and I have a messy job and I just look vaguely homeless because "staying clean" isn't something I give two shits about. Anyway, for these reasons, white is not a color I should be wearing.) It's awesome.
There are things I like about this shirt which please me in a describably awesome way.
It's in bold, masculine colors. Yay. I am sure that there can be adorable pastel shirts for this slogan as well, but I am not an adorable pastel person and if I'm moved enough to throw down money for an "against fascism" t shirt, then I want it to be highly legible from a distance.
Not sure of art style but it feels... Asian inspired? Is that a thing? Like also sort of pop-art signage from the 1920's or something? Advertisement art, like. I am bad at art. But this art has a very familiar feel to it.
The cat looks like a complete asshole. This is a pissed-off cat. Do not cross the cat. Do not try to pet the cat or you'll lose a hand. I love it.
The flowers do not look particularly friendly either. They probably have thorns, too.
The font looks like it's advertising a tattoo parlor. Awesome.
The slogan, well, yeah. Obvi.
The one I bought is not the only one out there... there are a lot of places selling this shirt or ones that are very similar. But I do like it.
I wore it to the Billy Strings concert on Saturday up in State College. Two people smiled broadly and commented on it, one other person asked to take a picture of my shirt. So yay? Doesn't matter much if other people like it, I like it.
