And... they're done! Yay Spite Chocolates!!
Title says it all. I've been... quality controlling as I have been going along and I have to say, definitely these damn things exceed expectations.
The box is not fancy, but the square divisions are 2" square-ish, and the chocolates are normal sized chocolates, maybe one big bite or two small bites.
Top row, left to right: plain ganache, black raspberry white-fudge, toffee with white-fudge
Second row: caramel, coffee ganache, apricot white-fudge
Third row: coconut, hot chile ganache, peanut butter
I am very pleased with how well the garnishes came out. They look festive! (In particular, the hot chili garnish is a dab of hot-chili juice with a small amount of white chocolate & sugar added to help it glue the sliver of sugary chili flesh -- I used both guajillo and also japones chiles to flavor the ganache and made the garnish out of the less-spicy guajillo.)
There is not really a box, it's just a holder for transport purposes. I will ship these out on Tuesday to the intended recipient. Remainder of excess will be portioned out to assorted family members and friends (I did decorate all the rest as needed, but I totally 100% picked the most photogenic of each batch for the Spite Chocolates.
Please note effective and not-shitty tempering of chocolate. I am QUITE PLEASED.
