I reloaded firmware onto my mp3 player today to see if that would fix it. I hate that the firmware upgrade is Windows only. My computer doesn't boot into Windows anymore, apparently because it's missing a device driver. I dunno -- I have not moved or changed or installed anything on the windows part of the computer since forever and I don't know why it would quit working. Anyway, I used M's computer at the office to put the firmware onto the player.
The firmware did load after a couple of tries. The mp3 player boots again, which is nice. Now I'm reloading music onto it so that I can see if it works or not.

It works. Yay. It had not better barf on me again, though, or we're having words.
